iDox.ai recently released a new API to provide an easier and simpler way for your sensitive data redaction. Moreover, using it with Zapier will make the redaction much easier. You only need to type in the API’s URL path and sensitive data type filter, and then you can have the redacted file ready within a few minutes. We call it Redactor-Wizard API because it works just like a wizard with a wave of his magic wand to magically remove personal information automatically from a file.

Below is the video to show you of to integrate with Zapier to discover the sensitive data and redact by iDox.ai Redactor-Wizard API service from the new document in Google Drive and send it to Google Drive.

Step 1

Register a Zapier account (https://zapier.com/)

Step 2

Create a folder in Google drive and put the file you want to redact in this folder. Remember to change the access to “Anyone on the Internet with this link can view.”

Step 3

Create Zaps

1. Click “Create Zap” button

2. Add the “Trigger” App — Choose Google Drive app

3. Choose “New File in Folder” and click “Continue”

4. Follow Zapier instruction to sign in to your Google account

5. Set up a trigger (Choose “My Google Drive” and the specific folder that you create) and click “Continue.”

6. Test trigger — If successfully, click “Continue”

7. Add the “Action App”

• Choose Webhooks
• Choose “POST” for Action Event
• Click “Continue”

8. Set up Action

• Enter Redactor-Wizard API’s URL path in “URL” field. (e.g.https://docs.idox.ai/api/v3/convenience/redactor)
• Enter categoriesFilter and filter types that you want to find. (There are 52 types. Please refer to https://api-docs.idox.ai/#7e6f3380-d321-4cc1-bf5d-4b0fc6339ba4 for all types.)
• Choose 1. File: (Exists but not shown) in the “File” field.
• Enter the key name (“iDox-API-Engine-Key”) and your API key in “Headers.”

9. Test Action

• Click “Test & Continue”

10. Click “+” to add a new action

11. Choose Google Drive for App and “Upload File” for Event and click “Continue.”

12. Choose your Google Drive account and click “Continue.”

13. Set up Action

• In the File field, choose 2. File in Redactor-Wizard API.
• In the File Name field, enter the file name you want.
• Click “Continue.”

14. Click Test & continue

15. Click Publish Zap
